When he’s in a bad mood, he yells at people and expects them to be nice to him when he’s happy. His day to day life involves carrying out his real estate business in 80% black and 20% white money, visiting a nearby Hanuman temple every Tuesday and Saturday to smear the idol of Hanuman with holy paste, offer laddus, pour oil on the idol and greedily ask for petty things, then watching his favourite actress Nora Fatehi’s songs. He has a booming real estate business, but falls into debt due to the demonetisation, as he has a lot of black money. He wants to sell his mansion to clear his debts but can’t find any buyer and starts living at his wife's house with his wife, Inspector Ruhi, and daughter Pihu.<br/><br/>One day, Ayaan gets involved in a road accident, and regains consciousness in Heaven, where Yamaduta and Chitragupta give him a chance to go back to Earth and survive the accident, by asking him to play a game called Game of Life. He is shown a vision of his physical body currently being in the operation theatre and is told by CG that his surgery will take 5 hours, during which his soul will play the game.<br/><br/>The rules of the game: There are two containers - one for white balls, which represent Ayaan’s positives, and the other for black balls, which represent his sins and weaknesses. The containers would be filled with white or black balls by the residents of heaven (who are the audience members of the game), which will be considered their votes. The votes would be given based on how Ayaan does his virtual tasks and how he behaves in a certain situation which he is put in. If the container with the black balls overflows, he will be sent to hell and if the container with the white balls overflows, he gets to return to earth.")

For decades, movies about the undead have essentially been built on a foundation of fear of our fellow man—your neighbor may look and sound like you, but he wants to eat your brain—but “Train to Busan” takes that a step further by building on the idea that, even in our darkest days, we need to look out for each other, and it is those who climb over the weak to save themselves who will suffer. Social commentary aside, it’s also just a wildly fun action movie, beautifully paced and constructed, with just the right amount of character and horror. When they get to the train, Sang-ho beautifully sets up his cast of characters, giving us beats with the conductors, a pair of elderly sisters, a husband and his pregnant wife, an obnoxious businessman (a vision of Seok-woo in a couple decades), and even a baseball team. A woman who’s clearly not well gets on the train just before it departs, and just as something else disturbing but generally unseen is happening in the station above the platform. Before you know it, the woman is taking out the jugular of a conductor, who immediately becomes a similarly mindless killing machine. These are zombies of the “28 Days Later” variety—fast, focused, and violent. They replicate like a virus, turning whole cars of the train into dead-eyed flesh-eaters in a matter of seconds. Jugnu finds out about the relocation of the opium and arrives at the warehouse to take control. After a brief shootout, Jugnu kills Mishra but finds that the opium is missing; unknown to him, Nirmal is killed by a stray bullet. Tipu delivers the opium to the designated location but when Sukanto arrives there, he finds nothing. Meanwhile, Aatmaram tells Arjun to deliver the opium to him in order to free his daughter. Arjun steals the opium truck from the woods moments before Sukanto arrives. Enraged over Nirmal's death, Jugnu instigates a shootout with Sukanto's gang; he is the only survivor. Gangaram and Lekha arrive at Aatmaram's hideout to rescue Jo and Nannu but are captured by the hitman's goons. In the resulting chaos, Aatmaram is accidentally run over by Tipu, driving a van, seemingly killing him. Arjun arrives with the opium and rescues the children, killing Dheeraj in the process. Aatmaram revives and attacks Tipu, slicing him three times, but Tipu manages to shoot him with his father's gun before he can make the fourth cut. On the way to the hospital, Tipu seemingly dies in Lekha's arms after giving her the receipt that clears her father's name. Yamini gives Arjun the photo negatives, but implores him to do the right thing for Madhu, not just for his own guilt. He calls Pratap to tell him that their deal is off, and decides to return all the opium to the government. Aatmaram, left for dead, reaches for his knife. Jugnu arrives at the ICU dressed as a woman; after concluding that she can never be the son that her father wants her to be, she takes Ganchi off the ventilator and kills him.
