Part 7 of 7 of the period drama from 1981. Paul visits Baxter Dawes in hospital after learning from Dr Jameson that he is seriously ill with typhoid. Clara reproaches herself for how she has treated her husband and cracks begin to appear in her and Paul's relationship. Paul is still trying to come to terms with the news of his mother's cancer diagnosis, but as Gertrude continues to defy doctors predictions, Paul makes a terrible decision that he lives to regret...<br/><br/>Starring Karl Johnson, Eileen Atkins, Lynn Dearth, Jack Shepherd, Amanda Parfitt, Tom Bell, Peter Duncan, Leonie Mellinger and Roberta Thayne. This is from a recording from when it was originally broadcast in 1981, so apologies in advance for any picture quality issues. It has rarely been repeated since and I don't think has been released on DVD, so a rare recording indeed. Please note that being a D.H. Lawrence adaptation this episode does contain some nudity.
